does he have a name ? Yes. He has. it is a family occupation. They got inspired by life – the ancient epics, verbal stories, birds, animals, vegetables, grains. lessons were passed on from generation to generation. from the older to the younger..they carried it on

    The designer in the picture gives meaning and soul to the the craft. Nice write up too.

    hi anrosh,cutting chai is a very common term in mumbai.it means half a glass of chai instead of full.cutting is slang for half.so as to say cut the chai in half.
    loved this post of yours on kalamkari.
